Hey, happy to help if I can :) I don't really know too much about the gearboxes issue-wise. I can take them apart, portably be able to put it back together. However I have had so little issues with the A604 / 41TE that I don't really know how to diagnose it down to a component level (remote). In the Workshop Manual there should be a flow chart regarding common issues. Have you checked that?

Hey there, here is a thread where I changed a transmission from FWD to AWD: So basically it’s „just“ the differential and the attached. Power-Transfer-Unit. However, Transmission differ from year to year. Some people might say a AWD transmission has a different planetary drive than a FWD.
